Ondřej Kovařík

Member of the European Parliament (Czech Republic)

Ondřej Kovařík was born on 21 August 1980 in Kyjov. Ondřej studied International Business, International Politics and Diplomacy at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Prague. Later he completed an international programme in public administration management, regional development and EU programmes at the Ecole Nationale D'Administration in Strasbourg and Paris. His career to date has been spent in the Czech and European public administration, whether at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Government, the Czech Embassy in Canada, the Ministry of Defence or the European Parliament. Since 2019, he has served as a Member of the European Parliament elected in the Czech Republic. He is a member of several parliamentary committees, where he focuses, among others, on EU economic policy with a focus on SMEs, digital finance, tourism, the transport sector and the use and development of new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
